Breaking away from solely using emails and formal teleconferences to build a better rapport with technology providers and targets. Help make the 30 second “elevator pitch” on who you are and what you can offer as a second nature to the students.?There will be a session on how to really evaluate technology - is it a real gem, best applications and so on. Similar to a Foresight Go/No Go report. This will include initial patent assessment, not full FTO (freedom to operate) analysis, but an understanding of whether there are some patents to be weary of.Program OutcomeOn completion the students should be able to (with some guidance) act as a competent technology scout, working within a tech company, or tech transfer professional in Technology Transfer Offices or other intermediary services.Target AudienceAim for 30 CityU students. Minimum requirement is the last year undergraduate students having completed 3 years of technical curriculum; preferably Ph.D. or Master’s holders or postgraduate students in tech/science, and some business experience would be a plus.EnquiryMs. Emily YipKnowledge Transfer OfficeTel: (852) 3442 6442Email: [email protected]
